Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew up in Mexico in a family who was devoted to music. Her early years were spent listening to classical music, old boleros, as well as traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana loves tangos. Additionally, she enjoys operas, and every form of theatrical performance. Ana began learning and singing the piano with her mom, then began more intense singing training when she was 16 with renowned Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. The musical training continued with the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and later to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. In Guadalajara and Mexico City, she was part of a variety of chamber and opera choirs. In 2000, she relocated back to in the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2007, she returned to her new home in Southern California. She's a regular solo performer for private events and parties singing traditional Latin American Music. Her passion for performing, music, as well as the arts keeps her engaged in local projects in both her capacity as an artist and educator. Ana has also been a former member of Community Chorus of Redlands as in addition to The Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana loves to sing traditional Latin American songs and hopes to encourage other people to follow in her footsteps.
